Greetings.
After reading thru the "what music do you listen to?" thread, I was wondering how many other folks on here cook their own stuff. A slightly older game-crowd + lots of high-end rigs usually equals a multitude of electronic musicians  .
I record live stuff as well as computer-cooked, am semiactive on an artists' site of sorts, and like endlessly fiddling with FruityLoops, Cubasis, ACID, etc... and waaaaaay too many effects and pedals.
I'd like to host a 'musicians of eve' page which, i'll tell you quite honestly up front, will suck lots and be fugly while we're getting it rolling but i think will be worth it  .
To start, contact me privately (unless you are immune to bandwidth-schlorping) if you have anyhting you'd like to contribute, with these requirements:
- Material must be original and copyrightable by you.
- Material must not contain copyrighted material of anyone != you beyond fair use (sample away!).
- You must be prepared for material to, potentially, be on every HD in the world (it won't be, but if this makes you uncomfortable, don't do it!
And other basic constraints of legality and common sense.
To start, i'd like to restrict it to tunes / beats / noise / whatever inspired by or related to or made because of EvE. And yes, if you have something you made 2 years ago you never did anything with and feel it to be evelike, go ahead, i will obviously be taking people's word for it, hehh.
All you have to do is contact me with the URL i can grab the thing from, your in-game info you want it associated with (if any), you real info in at least the form of an email i can reach you at, and any artist info you'd want up there (mp3.com page, band's website, whatever).
File formats:
i am not a bitfascist, whatever suits your fancy. Obviously if you send me some weird compression routine from Timbuktu less people will be able to hear it, so it's entirely your choice. I personally like .oggs. .wmas will be snickered at but faithfully posted.

BIG NOTE: Sorry, i meant *i* mess about with electronica. Doesn't mean you have to! Every genre is welcome from Bas to the Hippie contingent. I'll just make sure not to put you in the same room
If you made it and it makes you think of EvE, or you made it to play EvE by, or you wrote a filk about the real reason you joined the Jericho Fraction... ahem. With as varied a community as this i'd be disappointed with anything less than "MPD-level" variety![/i]
